Latest reports have been coming in from the national capital of the country New Delhi where a letter by DG Tihar was written asking BEL administration to allow profile for the economic of offences cdone in the jail.

According to reports coming in from the national capital of the country New Delhi where a letter has been written in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case.

According to sources in a letter to DG (Tihar) on January 10, Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has asked the jail administration to allow it to probe 82 officials and staff of Rohini jail under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The letter subject mentioned the proposal for granting approval under Section 17 (A) of PoC Act against jail officials of Rohini jail No. 10 for conducting enquiry and an investigation.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
