International Terror Has It's Roots With India's Neighborhood: India's Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan

Latest reports have been coming in from the union Foreign Ministry where Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla has shared his views and country stand on counter terrorism faced by the country.

According to sources coming in from the Foreign Ministry which has shared that Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla at a symposium on “Potential for Indo-European and German cooperation in Indo-Pacific” has said that Counter-terrorism is another key area of cooperation between strategic partners. 

According to the Secretary failure to cooperate can only embolden terrorists towards more audacity.

The Foreign Secretary further added that recent incident in Texas once again demonstrates that international network of terror has its epicenter in India’s neighbourhood.

According to the Foreign Secretary the network of terror is very much active and has long-lasting implications.

This is a global threat that requires an unambiguous, undivided, effective and collective response added Harsh Vardhan Shringla, India Foreign Secretary.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
