Latest reports have been coming in from Himachal Pradesh where ANI has reported that Kargil Hero Captain Vikram Batra statue was unveiled.

According to reports coming in from Himachal Pradesh where a bust of Kargil war hero Capt Vikram Batra was unveiled by his parents at Palampur Military Station yesterday.

According to sources Captain Vikram Batra,  father GL Batra while speaking to ANI has said that Vikram studied in Palampur Cantt till Class 12.

According to the father of Captain Vikram Batra he would come here daily.This is the place where he saw a lot of Armymen and got inspired.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
