West Bengal Government Issues New Covid Guidelines

Latest reportss have been coming in from West Bengal where new covid protocols have been initiated by the West Bengal Government.

According to reports coming in from West Bengal where under new protocols of covid-19 marriage-related functions will be allowed with a maximum of 200 people at a time or 50% seating capacity of the hall/venue, whichever is lower. 

According to latest reports have been coming in as now fairs may be allowed in open-air venues in a very restricted manner, following all the COVID19 appropriate protocols according to state Government of West Bengal.

According to sources from the west bengal government which has stated that now the restrictions, relaxation measures and advisory as already in force under the Disaster Management Act.

This has been read with West Bengal Epidemic Disease, COVID-19 Regulations 2020, stand extended up to January 31, 2022 according to West Bengal government.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
