Indian Navy Launches Fifth Submarine Of Project 75

Latest reports have been coming in from Indian Navy where the fifth submarine of Project 75, Yard 11879, Indian Navy’s Kalvari class commenced her sea trials on 1st Febuary.

According to reports coming in from the Indian Navy this submarine was launched in November 20 from the KanhojiAngre Wet Basin of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL). 

According to sources this submarine would be named Vagir, after commissioning.

The submarine will now undergo intense trials of all its systems at sea, including propulsion systems, weapons and sensors. 

The submarine is scheduled for delivery to the Indian Navy in the year 2022 after the completion of these trials.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
