Cyclonic Storm Asani Moves West-North Westwards With A Speed of 12 Kmph

Latest reports have been coming in from India Meteorological Department which has stated that the previous cyclonic storm Asani has moved Northwest wards with a speed of 112 km per hour.

According to the reports coming in the Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Asani’ over westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved west-northwestwards with a speed of 12 kmph during the past 6 hours.

However according to the Indian Meteorological Department the Cyclonic Storm has weakened.

According to the reports coming in it is very likely to move nearly northwestwards for next few hours and reach Westcentral Bay of Bengal close to Andhra Pradesh coast. 

Thereafter, it's very likely to recurve slowly north-northeastwards, move along Machilipatnam, Narsapur, Yanam,Kakinada,Tuni and Visakhapatnam coasts according to IMD.

And emerge into westcentral Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh coasts by today evening. 

Then it is likely to move northeastwards towards northwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely to weaken gradually into a depression by 12th May morning according to IMD.

On the other side Andhra Pradesh: Sea turns turbulent in Kakinada, strong winds blow due to Cyclone Asani 

IMD says that the cyclone is very likely to move nearly north west wards for the next few hours and reach Westcentral Bay of Bengal close to the Andhra Pradesh coast.
