According to reports coming in from Assam where according to police sources 7 people were arrested and 15 people were detained in connection with setting fire to Batadraba police station.
However, according to reports special SIT probe has also been ordered with the alleged custodial death of one person which has led to the fire incidence in the police station.

As per sources 6 accused have been arrested and 12 were others were also detained but after investigation, it was found that they had no involvement in the case, they have been released.
SP Leena Doley, Nagaon has said that we have identified 18-20 people with criminal history and suspicious movements in their houses were noticed.
It is also suspected that the identified persons may have links with banned organisations from Bangladesh.
We have recovered arms and ammunition and several forged documents from their house as stated by SP Leena Doley, Nagaon.
However, some clues have come out that Ansarullah Bangla Team which is linked to Al Qaeda is behind this incident.
We are taking strict actions against them and making sure no such incident takes place in Assam. The investigation is still on according to Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika.
