WHO's Emergency Meet To Check If Monkeypox Global Health Emergency!

The WHO said on Tuesday it would hold an emergency meeting on June 23 to determine whether the global menopausal outbreak was an international public health emergency.
"Monkeypox outbreaks are rare and disturbing. For that reason I have decided to convene an Emergency Committee under international health rules next week, to assess whether these outbreaks reflect an international public health emergency," said World Health Organization official Tedros Adhanom. Ghebreyesus told reporters.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
