Indore: Actress Vaishali Thakkar, who played the role of Sanjana in Star Plus' famous TV serial 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', has died of suicide.
The body of 30-year-old Vaishali was found at her home in Indore's Sai Bagh Colony. According to the police, Vaishali hanged herself on October 16, her body has been sent for postmortem. Vaishali was a resident of Mahidpur in Ujjain and was living in Indore for a year.
Her neighbour had been harassing her: According to Indore's ACP M Rahman, Vaishali Thakkar was harassed by a youth named Rahul living in the neighborhood, due to which she committed suicide. Vaishali was about to marry another man, but Rahul broke the wedding so that he could marry Vaishali himself. Rahul is absconding since Vaishali's suicide, police are looking for him.
Family informed the police after 7 hours: Indore Police has handed over Vaishali's body to the family after the post-mortem. According to local reports, Vaishali had committed suicide on Saturday night itself, but the family informed the police in the morning. Police have recovered an 8-page suicide note from the spot.
Since the police got information about the incident after 7 hours, now the investigation of suicide note will be done by handwriting expert. In the suicide note, Vaishali has also mentined the names of two boys and girls, and said they should be punished.
Postponed her marriage due to Corona: Vaishali got engaged to dental surgeon Dr. Abhinandan of Kenya on 26 April last year. The information about this ceremony, which took place in the presence of close people, was given by the actress by sharing the video. Both were to get married in June 2021. However, the actress postponed the wedding plans after a month.
Behind his decision, Vaishali had cited the increase in the Corona case. In an interview, Vaishali had said, 'I cannot marry in such a situation when many people are losing their lives to Corona. If the situation is better by next year, we will get married.'
