Makers of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan have been asked to implement changes in Besharam Rang song by CBFC ahead of release. The Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) on Thursday gave some suggestions to film makers for changes.
Submit revised version before release of film
Amid controversy over Pathan's song Besharam Rang, CBFC Chairperson Prasoon Joshi said – We have asked the makers to submit the revised version to us before the release of the film. The censor board suggested this after watching the film closely. The film will be released in cinema houses on 25 January.
Joshi said further, “The CBFC is always committed to finding the right balance between creative expression and sensibility of the audience and believes that we can always find a solution through meaningful dialogue between all stakeholders. While the process is getting duly followed and implemented, I must reiterate that our culture and faith are glorious, intricate and nuanced.”.
Actress Deepika Padukone appeared in saffron bikini in Pathan's song Besharam Rang. Controversy started on this, after which Pathan was sent to the Censor Board.
Besharam Rang song got 15 crore views in 2 weeks
Shah Rukh Khan is returning to the big screen after almost four years with Pathan. Shah Rukh was earlier seen in the 2018 film 'Zero'. As a lead, he is going to make a bang comeback from Pathaan. The budget of the film is around 250 crores. The media rights of the film have been sold for around 100 crores. Besharam Rang song has got 15 crore views in 2 weeks.
