Covid-19 Updates: Random Testing Of Passengers Begins At Delhi Airport; RT-PCR Test For Travellers From China, Other High Risk Countries


New Delhi: In view of the danger of Corona in the country, the Central Government is on alert. Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that RT-PCR test will be necessary for passengers coming from China and other high risk countries including Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand. If any passenger from these countries shows symptoms of Covid-19 or tests positive, then these people will be quarantined.

In the last 24 hours, 201 new corona cases have been reported in the country. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday said that there are 3,397 active cases in India, which is 0.01% of the total cases. The recovery rate is currently 98.8%. 183 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,41,42,791.

Army issues advisory 

Random testing of passengers coming from abroad has started at Delhi airport. The Army issued an advisory asking the jawans to follow Covid protocols like wearing masks, social distancing.

Government has approved the world's first nasal vaccine, it will be used as a booster.
