India-Bangladesh Two Match Series From Dec 14, What Are India's Plus Points

Dhaka: The 2 match test series between India and Bangladesh is starting from 14 December. Both the matches are very important for India according to the World Test Championship (WTC). 

India has not lost even a single Teast Match against Bangladesh in 22 years: After the 2-1 loss in the ODI series, Team India will adopt an attacking approach and would like to take revenge from Bangladesh by winning the Test series. The good thing for India is that in this format, it has not lost even a single match against Bangladesh in 22 years.

India can  move to second spot in the WTC points table if they win series 2-0: India can also move to the second spot in the WTC points table if they win the series 2-0. At the same time, Bangladesh will have to avoid players like Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin of India. On winning the Test series, India can get closer to entering the WTC final.

India has the upper hand: So far 11 Tests have been played between the two countries. India won 9 and 2 matches were drawn. Bangladesh team could not win a single test against India. India has defeated them by an innings margin 5 out of 9 times. 2 times by more than 9 wickets and 2 times by a margin of more than 100 runs. 

Team India has a strong batting order: After the 2-1 loss in the ODI series, Team India will adopt an aggressive approach in the Test series. The team will not give any chance to Bangladesh to dominate. The team has a strong batting line-up in the form of Rahul, Gill, Kohli, Pujara, Iyer and Pant. There are also 2 top class spinners in the form of Ashwin and Akshar (Axar) Patel. They can also bat in the lower order.

India has a third spinner: In bowling, India has a third spinner in the form of Kuldeep Yadav. Also, the best pacers are available in the form of Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Siraj. Both can consistently trouble Bangladeshi batsmen by bowling at a speed of more than 140 kmph.

Rahul will captain for the second time: Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the first test in the ODI series due to injury. KL Rahul will take charge of the team in his place. Rahul captained Team India in the Test for the first time on the tour of South Africa in January this year. South Africa won this match by 7 wickets.

Rahul would like to improve his record: Rahul would like to improve his record as Test captain by winning both the matches of the series. Apart from Tests, Rahul has also captained in 7 ODIs. In these, India won 4 and lost 3. He also captained Team India in a T20, in which India won.

Rishabh Pant in peak form of Test: 24-year-old wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant is in very good batting form. He has scored 720 runs in 10 matches of this World Test Championship. During this, 2 centuries and 4 fifties have also come out of his bat. Apart from him, KL Rahul has scored 541 runs in 7 matches. Two centuries have also come from his bat.

Ashwin has taken 355 wickets: Ravichandran Ashwin has taken 355 wickets in 58 Tests in Asia. He is only behind India's Anil Kumble and Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan. He has also taken 29 wickets in 7 matches of this World Test Championship.

Bangladesh: Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Mominul Haque, Anamul Haque, Liton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mehidy Hasan Miraj, Taskin Ahmed, Ibadat Hossain, Taijul Islam and Shoriful Islam.
