Hoshangabad (MP): Preparations for the New Year celebrations are in full swing in Pachmarhi in Madhya Pradesh, where tourists from all corners of the country have camped to admire the beauty of the valleys. The natural and open environment is attracting people, Pachmarhi is buzzing once again after a long time with the presence of thousands of tourists.
75 hours of nonstop events
Satpura ki Rani Pachmarhi is having 75 hours of nonstop events for health, taste and entertainment for tourists from 29th December to 1st January. It will be a unique and pleasant experience for the tourists coming to Panchmarhi to celebrate the New Year.
Fascinating activities like Pachmarhi Golf Tournament, Star Gazing, Tourism Hot Bazaar, Yoga at Dhupgarh Point, Bird Watching and Gardening Trail, Temple Darshan and Heritage Walk, Light and Sound Show under Pachmarhi Film Festival, Karaoke Show, New Year Celebration, Trekking, Night Camping and Rock Art Trail on Amba Mai will be organized.
Collector Hoshangabad Neeraj Kumar Singh informed that in the series of programs, there will be 75 hours of nonstop events from 29th December to 1st January.
Celebrations began with presentation of army band
The programs started on 29th December at 4 pm. There was a presentation of army band and other cultural programs at Tourism Hot Bazar Pachmarhi. With this, a series of 75 hours nonstop events have begun which will continue till 7 pm on January 1.
Taste of Organic Cuisine
The flavors of dishes made from organic products will be a special attraction for the tourists in the food festival. Along with local food vendors, vendors from outside are also participating. Stalls will be set up in Haat Bazar located at Pachmarhi on all the three days so that tourists can enjoy their favorite dishes. These dishes will not be served in a plate but on a leaf.
Yoga activities in the morning
Yoga activities will be organized on Dhupgarh Point, the highest peak of the state, on all three days through the Department of AYUSH from 6.30 am.
Millets Cafe will also be operated at Dhupgarh, in which tourists can enjoy Kodo ki Kheer, Jowar Halwa, Aloo Bada etc. amidst the cold winds.
Stargazing
Similarly, from 29 December every night from 9 pm to 6 am, the event of stargazing will be held at the High School Ground, Pachmarhi. This event will be organized by Aryabhatta Foundation Bhopal. Local youths have also been trained for stargazing events. So that this event can be a regular activity in Pachmarhi and the youths can also get employment in this field.
Bird Watching and Gardening Trail
Bird watching and horticulture trail activities will also be done every day at Polo Garden Pachmarhi under Navrang. In which bird and botanist experts will give information to the tourists. This activity will be conducted by Satpura Tiger Reserve (STR).
Nature Walk and Pachmarhi Run
Nature walk will be conducted daily from 7 am to 9 am near Vrindavan, Jatashankar. In which botanists and staff of STR will give information to tourists about different types of flora. Pachmarhi Run will be held from 6 am to 9 am in which all interested persons above 15 years of age can participate.
Temple Darshan and Heritage Walk
Pachmarhi is also a famous religious place along with the natural site, keeping this in mind; tourists will also be taken to visit the famous temples and historical buildings of Pachmarhi. In which they will be told about the characteristics and importance associated with temples and buildings. Tourists will be taken for darshan to temples of Amba Mai, Bada Mahadev, Gupta Mahadev etc. Similarly, Protestant Church, Raj Bhawan, Bison Lodge etc. historical buildings will be visited in Heritage Walk.
Other tourism related activities
Among the major activities, a Pachmarhi Golf Tournament will also be organized from December 29 to January 1.
A karaoke night event will be organized at Jhanda Chowk on December 30 from 7 pm to 10 pm.
New Year celebration will be done on December 31 from 6 pm to 12 midnight. In which singing, popular music, dance events will be organized.
LED screens will also be arranged at the venue. In which New Year Countdown will appear with all the information of the programs.
There will be an event of Zumba dance at Surya Namaskar point every morning from 7 am.
Under the Pachmarhi Film Festival, a film will also be screened every day after the light and show.
Rock art trail event will be organized by Satpura Tiger Reserve on Amba Mai.
Tourists will also be able to experience trekking and night camping.
