Ratlam: A trolley became uncontrollable after its tyre burst on the Ratlam-Labad four lane of Satrunda intersection in the district. During this, the vehicle took about a dozen people in its grip. Five died in the mishap. The injured were taken to Ratlam district hospital. The bodies of five were sent to the district hospital. The dead bodies have been sent from the district hospital to the medical college for postmortem.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened around 5 pm on Sunday evening. Some people were sitting on the side of the road waiting for the bus at the Satrunda intersection. Then a truck passing through the highway went out of control and ran over people.
10 injured, two serious
On information, the police and administration officials left for the spot. After getting the information about the incident, the Bilpank police station and the local people took the injured to the district hospital and medical college. A total of 10 injured have been admitted to the emergency ward of the district hospital. In which the condition of two is said to be serious.
According to sources, the truck became unbalanced due to tyre burst, due to which this accident happened. 5 people have died in the accident. The injured are being treated.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals for treatment. After this incident, Ratlam Collector Narendra Suryavanshi and SP reached the spot and inquired about the incident. SP Abhishek Tiwari told that a case has been registered against the truck driver.
Prabhu Lal, who lives near Satrunda, told that when the truck came towards the road side divider and ran over the crowd of people, at the same time there was a loud bang. Before people could understand the whole incident, silence spread all around. After this, the local people handled the casualties and sent the injured to the hospital. People informed the police about the incident, after which the relief work started.
