Bharat Jodo Yatra Culminates In Srinagar Kashmir: People Should Hear True Voice Of Country, Says Rahul Gandhi

Srinagar: Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra came to an end in Srinagar on Monday amid heavy snowfall. It started 145 days back on September 7 from Kanyakumari. Rahul addressed the public gathering at the Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium during the closing ceremony. He mentioned Modi, Amit Shah and RSS twice and attacked BJP.

The march culminated with a rally in a stadium in Srinagar on Monday afternoon. It was attended by  Gandhi and several other Congress leaders and also leaders from some opposition parties who joined in a show of unity.

I have seen violence

He said, 'I now want to say something to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to the army-security forces. I understand violence. I have seen violence. One who has not seen violence will not understand this. Like Modiji, Amit Shahji, Sangh people, they have not seen violence. They are are afraid

I have suffered the pain of losing my loved ones

Rahulk said further: Here we walked for 4 days. I guarantee that no BJP leader can act like this. Not because the people of Jammu and Kashmir won't let them walk, but because they are afraid. Like Kashmiris and soldiers, I have suffered the pain of losing my loved ones. Modi-Shah cannot understand this pain.

My family taught me to live fearlessly

Gandhi said he was warned against traveling on foot by the local administration who said a grenade could be hurled at him. He said he insisted on walking because his family and Mahatma Gandhi taught him to live fearlessly, otherwise, that is not living.

Gandhi said he had received "wholehearted love" in the region where he spent the last leg of his march.

On Sunday, the Congress MP told a press conference in Srinagar that he had received a "great response" across the country.

People should hear true voice of the country

"The yatra's purpose is also that people of this country get to hear true voice of the country," he said.

"We saw the resilience and strength of the people of India during this journey. We also got to hear about the issues being faced by farmers and unemployed youth in the country," he added.

These children are cleaner than you or me

Rahul said during the yatra, 4 children came. They used to beg, they had no clothes. They were covered in mud. I went down on my knees and held them. A person walking with me said that these children are dirty, you should not go near them. I told them that children are cleaner than you and me.

Srinagar received heavy snowfall since morning. Even after this, the enthusiasm of the workers did not dimnish. A huge crowd of workers was seen outside the office since morning. On the other hand, Rahul was seen in a different color here too. He enjoyed the snowfall with sister Priyanka. Both were seen throwing snow at each other.
