Bollywood Celebs Bid Teary Adieu To Satish Kaushik; Life Will Never Be The Same, Says Anupam Kher

Bollywood celebs attended the last journey of actor and director Satish Kaushik. Satish Kaushik passed away on Wednesday night. He had gone to participate in the Holi program in Delhi.

Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Javed Akhtar, Farha Akhtar, Sikander Kher, Boney Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Raj Babbar and Ila Arun were among those who attended Satish Kaushik's last journey. 

Kaushik's mortal remains were brought to his home in Mumbai. His last rites were performed at Versova's cremation ground. The news of his death has sent shock waves across the Hindi film industry.

On March 7, Satish Kaushik attended the Holi party organized by Javed Akhtar at Janki Kutir Juhu. He had tweeted photos of this celebration, in which he looked fit.

Such a sudden full stop on friendship of 45 years: Kher

The late actor’s friend of four decades Anupam Kher could not hold back his tears and cried inconsolably as he bid his final goodbye to his actor-friend. 

Kher paid touching tribute to Kaushik. He wrote- 'I know, death is the last truth of this world, but I never thought in my dreams that I will write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while I am alive. Such a sudden full stop on friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!'

Married Shashi Kaushik in 1985

Satish Kaushik was born on 13 April 1956 in Mahendragarh, Haryana. Schooling was done in Delhi. After graduation from Kirori Mal College, he took admission in National School of Drama (NSD). In 1985, she married Shashi Kaushik. They had a son but unfortunately the son died when he was only 2.

Daughter Vanshika was born in 2012

Sixteen years after he tragically lost his son, 56-year-old Satish became a father again. The baby girl named Vanshika was born on July 15, 2012, through surrogacy. Satish rediscovered the joys of fatherhood after 16 years.

Received Filmfare Award twice

Satish made his Bollywood debut in 1983. Before that he worked in theatre. He was an actor, comedian, scriptwriter, director and producer. Satish got recognition from the film Mr. India in 1987. He then played the role of Pappu Pager in Deewana-Mastana in 1997. Satish received the Filmfare Award for Best Comedian in 1990 for Ram Lakhan and in 1997 for Saajan Chale Sasural.
