Breach In Modi's Security In Karnataka: Man Skips Barricade, Runs Towards PM

Bengaluru: A case of lapse in the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who went on Karnataka tour, has come to the fore. PM Modi was doing a roadshow at the concluding ceremony of BJP's Vijay Sankalp Yatra in Bengaluru. During this, a person broke his security cordon and started moving towards the PM.

The intruder has been identified as a youth from Koppal district. He was questioned by the police.
Senior police officer Alok Kumar on seeing the man try to breach the barricade ran towards him and intercepted him. A Special Protection Group (SPG) commando also ran after him.

Man was stopped by SPG

Kumar said there was no security breach. It was an attempt to breach. He was stopped by the SPG. The man has been identified as Basavaraj Katagi from Koppal district. He came to Davangere in a bus to see PM Modi.
"Due to pressure on barricades put by the crowd, it fell down and Katagi attempted the breach... Legal action will be taken against him. We will also take preventive action against him so that it doesn't repeat," the police officer said.

Security agencies are quizzing intruder

Presently the youth has been taken into custody. Security agencies are interrogating the accused. This is the second case of lapse in the Prime Minister's security in two months. Earlier there was a lapse in his security in Hubli area in Karnataka itself. The PM had reached there to inaugurate the youth festival.
The video of the case has also surfaced. It can be seen that there is a huge crowd on both sides of the road. People are raising slogans of PM Modi Zindabad.

Meanwhile, a person started trying to reach PM Modi. He started running fast towards his car. Only then the security personnel present there caught him. Even after this he was trying to move towards the Prime Minister.
here was a lapse in Modi's security in Karnataka in January as well.
