Madhya Pradesh: PM Modi Reaches Rewa, Gave Gift Of Development Works, Performed Grih Pravesh Of Over 4 Lakh Beneficiaries



Rewa (Madhya Pradesh):
 Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Madhya Pradesh on Monday. He reached Rewa in Vindhya region. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan welcomed him by presenting an artwork made of betel nut art. At the same time, PM Modi visited the development exhibition on the occasion of National Panchayati Day program.


Modi addressed the Panchayati Raj Conference organized on National Panchayati Raj Day in Rewa. The main event took place at the SAF Ground. Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated rail projects worth Rs 2300 crore and 5 tap-water schemes worth Rs 7853 crore.


This is Modi's third visit to Rewa. Earlier, he came during the Lok Sabha elections in May 2014 and for the second time in November 2018 in the campaign for the assembly elections.


Three new trains flagged off


PM Modi flagged off three new trains including Rewa-Itwari train through virtual medium. Rewa-Itwari train, Chhindwara-Nainpur train and Nainpur-Chhindwara train were gifted to the people of Rewa. Also dedicated the rail projects to the nation.


Along with this, PM Narendra Modi also inaugurated the integrated e-Gram Swaraj and GeM portal created for public procurement at Panchayat level by pressing the remote at National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations at SAF Ground, Rewa.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, your work is going to be easier with the new system which has been launched here today by combining e-Gram Swaraj and e-Gem portal. 



Property cards given


Property cards were also given to 35 lakh rural families of the country under PM Swamitva Yojana. Foundation stones and inaugurations of more than 17000 crore projects related to the development of Madhya Pradesh took place.


Performed Grih Pravesh of more than 4 lakh beneficiaries


PM Modi performed Grih Pravesh of more than 4 lakh beneficiaries. Beneficiaries made Grih Pravesh in a virtual way.


Modi said that earlier governments discriminated against Panchayats, now on the contrary, we are empowering them.


Modi said that respected Bapu used to say that the soul of India resides in the villages, but the Congress ignored Gandhi's views as well. In the 90s, food supply was done in the name of Panchayati Raj, but did not pay attention. Since 2014, the country has taken up the task of empowering its panchayats. Today its results are visible. Today the panchayats of India are emerging as the lifeblood of the development of the villages.
