President Murmu Opens Rashtrapati Niwas Shimla's Tulip Garden To Public

 

SHIMLA: The President Droupadi Murmu graced the opening of the Tulip Garden at Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President at Chhrabra near Shimla on Tuesday.

The Rashtrapati Niwas, earlier known as the ‘Presidential Retreat’ at Mashobra, will be thrown open for the visitors from April 23 this month. the visitors and the tourists will be able to visit and have a glimpse of the Tulip varieties as Strong Gold, Denmark, Velemark, Jumbopink and Laptop.
 

Murmu strolled around the Rashtrapati Bhawan premises and inquired about other varieties of plants.

 

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu also had a stroll of the Tulip garden along-with the President after its inauguration.

 

The nature trails and the orchards at Rashtrapati Niwas would also be open for the visitors and adventure enthusiasts from 23rd April.

Importantly, president is on four days sujourn to Shimla and she would stay here till April 21. The Retreat Rashtrapati Niwas are three such Rashtrapati bhavan in the country in the country as it includes Raison hill Rashtrapati bhavan Delhi, The Retreat Rashtrapati bhavan Mashobra and Rashtrapati bhavan at Bangalore.

Droupadi Murmu attended  the civic reception hosted in her honour by the Government of Himachal Pradesh at Raj Bhavan, Shimla  Tuesday evening.

 

The President said that Himachal Pradesh has always attracted people through its natural beauty and spiritual traditions. From snow-clad peaks to winding valleys, flower-filled gardens, forests teeming with wildlife and flora to pilgrimage sites, Himachal Pradesh has various places that attract tourists from all over the world. She urged all people to cooperate in keeping the beautiful and wonderful tourist places of our country clean, elegant and attractive and to promote eco-tourism.

 

The President said that Himachal Pradesh has changed a lot through technological advancement. It has established many milestones in its development journey so far. It is a matter of pride for all the residents of Himachal Pradesh that the achievements of their state in the areas such education, healthcare, road-infrastructure and industrial development received appreciation at the national level.
