Jaipur: The Rajasthan administration has become alert as the Cyclone Biparjoy formed in the Arabian Sea is nearing Gujarat.
In view of the intensity of the cyclone, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for more than 8 districts including Sirohi, Barmer, Jalore. In view of this, the district administration has started preparations for rescue from heavy rains. According to weather experts, its maximum impact will be seen in Rajasthan on June 16-17.
Triggered by Cyclone Biparjoy, rainfall is expected in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in the next four days, weather forecasting agency Skymet said.
Cyclone Biparjoy, after making landfall, will lose its intensity and move as a depression over south-southwest Rajasthan before moving northeast.

According to Skymet, by 18-19 June, the depression will be closer to Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and northwest Uttar Pradesh. These places will receive light to moderate rain and wind speed is expected to be 30-40 km per hour,.
Cyclone helped monsoon advance
Cyclone will turn into a low-pressure area in Rajasthan
According to experts, this cyclone will hit the Gujarat-Pakistan coasts June 15 afternoon or evening. It will weaken after hitting the ground in Gujarat. Moving forward it will enter Rajasthan. However, by the time it reaches Rajasthan, this cyclone will turn into a low-pressure area. Due to this, strong wind will blow here at a speed of 45 to 60 KM per hour.
Chances of heavy to very heavy rains in these dists
According to meteorologists, due to the slight curve that the cyclone has taken, its direction has now turned towards Pakistan as well. For this reason, its effect will be more in the areas adjoining Karachi and Gujarat. This is the reason that now there are chances of heavy to very heavy rains in Barmer, Jalore districts of Rajasthan on June 16 and 17. Here the district administration has instructed Civil Defense and SDRF to make necessary preparations.
Jaipur Meteorological Center Director Radheshyam Sharma said that there is a possibility of heavy rains in Jalore, Barmer, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer districts on June 16, in view of which orange alert has been issued. While there is a yellow alert for Bikaner, Pali and Sirohi districts on the same day.
Orange alert for these dists on June 17
On June 17, apart from Jalore, Barmer, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Orange Alert has also been issued for Sirohi, Pali, Nagaur and Bikaner districts. Apart from these districts, yellow alert has been issued for Udaipur, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Ajmer and Churu districts.
