Madhya Pradesh: E-Scooties To Students Securing First Position In Higher Secondary Schools

 


Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has decided to provide e-scooties to the students who have secured first position in all the government higher secondary schools of the state to encourage them under the new scheme.

If more than one student has the highest marks then all of them will get the benefit of the scheme. The scooty will be provided in areas where it is not available.

About 9 thousand students will be benefited from the scheme.

Income limit for scholarship to SC, ST students is now Rs 8 lakhs


As per the announcement of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Cabinet ratified the order issued by the Scheduled Castes Welfare Department increasing the income limit for scholarship to the students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes from Rs 6 lakhs to Rs 8 lakhs and foreign study scholarship to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes students of Humanities subjects as well.

Along with this, approval was granted to increase the annual income limit of post matric scholarship for Scheduled Tribe students studying in non-government institutions to Rs. 8 lakh.

It is worth mentioning that the income limit has been abolished by the Tribal Affairs Department for Scheduled Tribe students studying in government and government-aided educational institutions.

With the increase in the income limit, students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will get wide opportunities to pursue education.
