Bhopal: A massive fire broke out in the Directorate of Tribal Area Development Schemes office located on the third floor of Satpura Bhawan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The initial cause of the fire is said to be short circuit, which will be confirmed after investigation by the fire brigade.
Additional Chief Secretary General Administration Shri Vinod Kumar told that prima facie the fire started from short circuit, AC compressor also burst due to the fire and the fire kept spreading
The fire that broke out on the third floor reached the seventh floor. All the people have been safely evacuated from the fire affected area. Fire brigade is working at the site to control the fire.
At present, 35 fire brigades and fire teams are trying to extinguish the fire. Along with this, SDRF has also been called to control the fire.

Probe panel formed
On the instructions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a high-level committee has been constituted to investigate the fire.
Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary Urban Development Shri Neeraj Mandloi, Principal Secretary Public Works Department Shri Sukhveer Singh, ADG Fire Shri Ashutosh Roy have been included in the high-level inquiry committee. After finding out the preliminary reasons for the fire, the committee will submit the report to Chief Minister Chouhan.
Cong expressed apprehension of conspiracy
Congress has expressed apprehension of conspiracy behind the fire in Satpura Bhawan. Former minister Arun Yadav tweeted and said - Is there a conspiracy to burn the documents of scams on the pretext of fire?
