Jaipur: As the assembly elections in Rajasthan are coming closer, the problems of the Congress are increasing. In the midst of a war between state CM Ashok Gehlot and Deputy CM Sachin Pilot, Pink City Jaipur Mayor Munesh Gurjar has put Congress in new trouble.
Annoyed
with Additional Commissioner Rajendra Verma in Jaipur's Municipal Corporation
Heritage, Mayor Munesh Gurjar along with her supporters and more than 40
councilors sat on a dharna in the Municipal Corporation itself.
Mayor
Munesh Gurjar has accused Additional Commissioner Rajendra Verma of
misbehaving. She has written a letter to CM Ashok Gehlot. In which it is said
that the government should suspend Additional Commissioner Rajendra Verma as
soon as possible. If this is not done, she will resign along with fifty
councilors. After this, Munesh Gurjar along with 50 corporators sent her
resignation letter to the Chief Minister.
Additional Commissioner was locked in room
Actually,
the councilors of the municipal corporation are given 5 temporary employees in
their areas. For this, the team formed under the direction of the Additional
Commissioner was about to float the tender process.
Councilors
allege that Rajendra Verma is not signing the tender notesheet for the last 15
days. While there is a requirement of staff in view of monsoon in the area.
Mayor
Munesh Gurjar called Additional Commissioner Rajendra Verma to her office but
Verma did not turn up. In such a situation, all the councilors went to his
room. Verma was forcibly brought to the mayor's chamber. But Verma once again
said he would not sign.
After
this, Verma got into an argument with the mayor and the councillors. Angry
councilors kept sitting in the Additional Commissioner's room. However, after
the dispute escalated, Minister Mahesh Joshi reached the Municipal Corporation
and heard both the sides.
