MP Rain Update: Heavy Showers Lash Bhopal, TI Drowns In Dewas; 5 Gates Of Satpura Dam Opened

 


Bhopal: Bhopal received heavy showers that began from Sunday afternoon. As the rainfall continued many low-lying localities and roads were inundated. There was water logging on roads in several areas both in the old and the new Bhopal with water flowing over the roads. 

 

TI dies due to drowning in Dewas


TI Rajaram Vaskale, posted at Nemavar police station in Dewas district, died due to drowning in the river on Sunday. He had received information about a dead body in the stop dam built on the Jamner river. He tried to rescue him by jumping into the water, but did not succeed.

After that again he tried to remove that dead body. This time he got stuck there. After that the jawans and villagers present there pulled him out with the help of rope and took hiem to the hospital. From there he was referred to Harda District Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Five gates of Satpura dam opened

 

It is raining in Betul district since Saturday night. In Sarani area, 5 gates of Satpura Dam were opened. Due to the continuous rising water in the Tawa river, the gates of the dam had to be opened. About 5 cm of rain has been recorded here in a day. The district has received about 35 cm of rain so far.

Bina river in spate

 

For the last 3 days, moderate and sometimes heavy rains are continuing in Raisen district. It is raining here since Saturday night. Bina river is in spate in Begumganj of the district. Due to which the road connectivity of more than two dozen villages has been broken. There is about 2 feet of water on the river bridge. Due to which the movement has been disrupted.
