ICC World Cup 2023: Will Schedule Of Another Match Change?

There is a possibility that the date of the match between Pakistan and England is to be held in Kolkata on November 12 in the ICC World Cup 2023 could be changed due to security concerns.

The Cricket Association of Bengal has taken up the concerns of local security agencies with the ICC regarding the match between Pakistan and England .

Officials said the match between Pakistan and England is to be held in Kolkata on November 12. Diwali and Kali Puja are on this day.

Third change in Pakistan's World Cup schedule

If BCCI and ICC change the date of this match, then this will be the third change in Pakistan's World Cup schedule.

Earlier, there was a change in the schedule of Pakistan vs India (14 October instead of 15 October in Ahmadabad) and Pakistan vs Sri Lanka (10 October instead of 12 October in Hyderabad).

No official request for a change

However, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Snehasish Ganguly denied any 'official request' for a change in the schedule.

A senior CAB functionary has said that the Kolkata Police has cited concerns to provide security for the match to be held on Diwali.

These senior members were part of the 17-member team that met with the ICC and BCCI inspection teams.

The senior official said, "ICC and BCCI have been informed to reschedule the match and if it does not happen, we will inform the chief minister."

Snehasish Ganguly says, "If we get some information officially, we will inform the ICC."
