Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on a tour of Ladakh till 25 August. During this, he reached Leh Market on Monday night. Here he shopped at a fruit-vegetable shop.
In a video of his visit, Rahul is seen surrounded by the crowd. He bought the goods. After some time, he reached the vegetable shop and bought vegetables from there, then gave the money. After this the shopkeeper returns the remaining amount.
As soon as Rahul reached Leh market, a crowd of youth surrounded him. A child from the crowd reached through the security cordon to get his autograph. He gave an autograph to the child and got photographs taken together.
On Monday, he reached Khardung La, 264 km away, riding a bike from Pangong Tso Lake. Met the local people here and also took pictures with them.
Rahul went to Ladakh on a two-day (17-18 August) tour, but on 18 August his tour was extended till 25 August.
On Saturday (August 19), Rahul rode on bike from Ladakh to Pangong Tso Lake. At the same time, the Congress leader paid tribute to his father former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on the banks of Pangong Tso Lake on Sunday (August 20).
Rahul will also attend the meeting of the 30-member Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council-Kargil elections to be held on August 25.
