India-Pakistan match in Asia Cup-2023 on Saturday in Pallekele was canceled due to rain. The Indian team had given Pakistan a target of 267 runs to win. Pakistan's innings could not even start.
The two teams will get a point each for the no result.
Pakistan, who beat Nepal in their opening match, has qualified for the Super Four stage.
India will advance if they beat Nepal in their second league match on Monday.
Pandya, Kishan shine in India's innings
The Indian team, batting first after winning the toss, was all out after scoring 266 runs in 48.5 overs. Vice-captain Hardik Pandya played an inning of 87 runs and Ishan Kishan played an inning of 82 runs.

Shaheen Afridi got the maximum of 4 wickets, he took the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja. Whereas Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah got 3-3 wickets.
Top order flopped
Indian team's top order flopped. Captain Rohit Sharma 11, Virat Kohli 4, Shreyas Iyer 14 and Shubman Gill returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs. Rohit, Virat were bowled by Afridi, while Iyer and Gill were sent to the pavilion by Rauf.
