India-Australia ODI: Suryakumar, Shubman Gill Shine In Team India's Facile Win


India has defeated Australia by 5 wickets in the first match of the ODI series. The team has defeated the Kangaroos after 27 years at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Before this, the team's last win over Australia was in 1996. Then Team India won the match by 5 runs. 

In Mohali, Team India won the toss and decided to field. The Australian team, which came to play first, was all out after scoring 276 runs in 50 overs. In reply, Team India achieved the target by losing 5 wickets in 48.4 overs.


With this win India has become No.1 Team in all 3 formats

Gill hit 74 on 63 balls

Indian opener Shubman Gill scored the 9th fifty of his ODI career. He completed half century in just 37 balls. Gill played an innings of 74 runs on 63 balls. He scored runs at a strike rate of 117.46. Gill's innings included 6 fours and 2 sixes.


Rituraj Gaikwad scored the first fifty of his ODI career. Gaikwad scored 71 runs in 77 balls at a strike rate of 92.21. The Indian openers gave a great start to their team by making a century partnership. Gill-Gaikwad pair made an opening partnership of 142 runs off 130 balls.
