Jaipur: Rajasthan Elections-2023: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his statement regarding Lal Diary during his visit to Rajasthan. He said that it is written in Lal Diary that Congress is going to come to power again in Rajasthan in the upcoming assembly elections.
Kharge said this while addressing a public meeting on the occasion of the launch of Congress's East Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) public awareness campaign in Baran on Monday.
Referring to the caste census, he said that there should be a caste census. If there is a caste census, the Other Backward Class (OBC) category will get its rights.
Accusing the Central Government, he said that today the gap between the rich and the poor is increasing. Modi's friends are looting the country's wealth. Modi government waives off loans of industrialists, whereas when farmers and poor demand loan waiver, atrocities are committed on them.
'If Cong saves its govt in Rajasthan then it will come to power at Center in 2024'
The Congress President also praised the public welfare schemes of the Congress government of Rajasthan. He has claimed that if Congress saves its government in Rajasthan then it will come to power at the Center in 2024.
Kharge said that in 2019, the people of Rajasthan had elected 25 MPs from BJP. But they could neither bring funds nor canal water for the people.
Rajasthan Assembly elections will be held in one phase on 25th November. Counting of votes will be conducted on December 3.
