The regional meteorological department has predicted that the current rainy weather in the state will persist until December 3 in many parts of state. The initial showers on Sunday-Monday night marked the onset of the winter rains, leading to a significant change in the entire state's weather. Cold winds prompted residents to take out sweatshirts and woolen clothes.

Bhopal experienced intermittent rainfall throughout Monday. Pramendra Kumar, a meteorologist at IMD Bhopal, expressed the likelihood of a two to three-degree Celsius decline in the maximum temperature across the state.

Rainfall may continue for next few days

Ved Pratap Singh, a senior officer at the meteorological department, explained, "The cyclonic circulation over the northern part of Madhya Pradesh is still active. Although the previously active western disturbances have weakened, their impact will persist. Rainfall is expected to continue for the next few days, even beyond a week after the western disturbance. Another western disturbance is anticipated after November 29, leading to resurgence in rain activities."
