The Prime Minister Narendra Modi today praised Indian Cricket team for their performance in the ODI World Cup 2023 Cricket tournament.
As the team lost in the final of the World Cup after an unbeaten performance throughout the tournament, the Prime Minister posted on X :
"Dear Team India,
Your talent and determination through the World Cup was noteworthy. You've played with great spirit and brought immense pride to the nation.
We stand with you today and always."
PM greets Australia
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi congratulated Australia for their victory in the World Cup today.
PM Modi posted on X :
"Congratulations to Australia on a magnificent World Cup victory! Theirs was a commendable performance through the tournament, culminating in a splendid triumph. Compliments to Travis Head for his remarkable game today."
Cricket fans disappointed
Meanwhile, cricket fans are quite disappointed after the defeat of the Indian team in the final match of the World Cup.
While talking to media, fans said that this is heartbreaking. The team has broken our trust.
Another fan says that the Indian team lost due to overconfidence.
He said, "The players' energy seemed to be low." Bowling and fielding and were not up to the mark."
A fan said, ''India gave only 40 percent today. The fall of Rohit Sharma's wicket was the turning point of the match."
In response to the question what happened even though the Indian team was in good form, fans say, "The team lacked discipline today."
A fan says, "Today was Australia's day." It is not right to criticize the Indian team so much.
