England batsman Joe Root has broken a record of Sachin Tendulkar during the Test match being played between India and England in Hyderabad.
Till now the record of scoring most runs in the Test series between India and England was in the name of Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin had scored 2535 runs in 32 test matches.
Now the record of scoring more runs than this is in the name of Joe Root.
Before coming on the field, Joe Root had 2526 runs in his name in the India-England Test series. Root left Sachin behind by hitting a four on the fourth ball of the 21st over of England's first innings.
Now Joe Root has become the highest run scorer in the Test series between India and England.
Joe Root scored 29 runs against India and he was out on Jadeja's ball.
Meanwhile, India restricted England to 246 in the first IND vs ENG Test at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday.
