Madhya Pradesh: Why ex-CM Shivraj mentioned 'vanvas' and 'rajtilak' amidst Ladli Bahnas in Budhni; said this about joining national politics

Budhni: Shivraj Singh Chouhan, four-time Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, shared his thoughts on being succeeded by Mohan Yadav during his first visit to Budhni after resigning from the coveted position. In an emotional address on Tuesday evening, Shivraj expressed that while someone else might assume the role of Chief Minister, his identity as 'Mama' (maternal uncle) remains irreplaceable.

As Shivraj arrived at the venue, he was surrounded by hundreds of affectionate well-wishers, particularly ladli bahnas, who hugged him and questioned the reason behind his departure, asking, "Why did you leave us?"

Despite having previously referred to himself as 'Tiger Abhi Zinda Hai' (The tiger is still alive), Shivraj appeared somewhat disheartened during the event and acknowledged the twists of fate, stating that sometimes one finds oneself in a period of "vanvas" (exile) while awaiting "rajtilak" (coronation).

Such transitions serve a purpose

The former CM reassured the gathering that such transitions serve a purpose, and alluded to the fact that while someone else might assume the role of Chief Minister, the titles of maternal uncle (mama) and brother remain untouched.

Expressing his commitment to the well-being of women, Shivraj assured them that the government's ongoing schemes would continue. Additionally, he took a moment to underscore the Center's interest in involving him in national politics, reiterating his dedication to staying in the state. "I will not go anywhere. I will live here and die here," he affirmed.
