Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: Akhilesh Yadav to Join Forces with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka in Agra, Aiming to Showcase Unity in First Rally Post Alliance

A joint public address will be delivered by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav in Agra, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.

Notably, this event marks the resurgence of their alliance 'after seven years,' following its dissolution after the 2017 UP assembly elections. Recent talks have rekindled the possibility of collaboration between the two parties for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections-2024.

Akhilesh Yadav has confirmed his participation in the Nyaya Yatra, expressing it as a 'PDA Yatra,' emphasizing the connection with PDA [Pichhada (backward), Dalit, and Alpsankhyak (minority) communities] that he has been advocating for in recent months.

Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is currently traversing Uttar Pradesh, having reached Western Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, passing through Moradabad, Amroha, Sambhal, and Bulandshahr. In Moradabad, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi joined the yatra for the first time in its second round.

Following Agra, the yatra is scheduled to reach Dholpur in Rajasthan on Sunday, after covering Aligarh, Hathras, and Agra. A brief hiatus in the yatra is planned from Sunday evening until March 2, after which it will resume in Madhya Pradesh.

The public meeting in Agra has generated enthusiasm among the workers, presenting an opportunity to showcase the strength of the renewed alliance.

Priyanka Gandhi's participation in Moradabad marked a significant moment, as she and Rahul interacted with people from an open jeep, drawing a sizable crowd. In her address, Priyanka expressed happiness at being in Moradabad, noting her familial connection through her husband Robert Vadra's roots in the city.
