Harda firecracker factory blast: CM Mohan Yadav inquires about well-being of the injured at Hamidia Hospital; probe panel formed


Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached the Emergency Department and ICU of Hamidia Hospital this evening and met the citizens injured in the Harda blast accident and inquired about their well-being.


Dr. Yadav wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and after getting information about the treatment being given from medical experts, gave instructions for proper treatment of the injured. The Chief Minister told the doctors that there should be no shortage in better treatment of the injured. 


The Chief Minister assured the injured that they would get the best treatment. CM said an assistance of Rs 4 lakh will be provided to the families of those who died. 


Dr. Yadav met Mr. Jitendra, Mr. Mehboob Shah, Mr. Mahendra Kushwaha, Mr. Dinesh Soni, Mr. Ram Sajeevan, Mrs. Amina, Mr. Babulal and Mr. Shobharam injured in the Harda accident and inquired about their health and treatment.


The doctors treating the people injured in the Harda accident said that all the injured were being given necessary treatment. All of them will get well soon. Minister of State for Health Narendra Shivaji Patel was present on this occasion.


Firecracker factories will be inspected in every dist


CM Dr. Yadav has instructed all the collectors to send reports within 24 hours whether the firecracker factories operating in their district are being operated as per the rules or not. Dr. Yadav said that those found guilty in this incident will not be spared at all.


School Education and Transport Minister Rao Uday Pratap Singh told the CM that arrangements have also been made to ensure that other citizens of Harda do not come near the factory premises. The slab is being removed carefully so that the possibility of any citizen being buried can be eliminated and necessary treatment can be arranged.


3 member committee will investigate 


A three-member committee has been formed to thoroughly investigate the incident of explosion in the firecracker factory. Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Dubey has been appointed chairman of the committee. The members of the committee are Additional Director General of Police Intelligence Jaideep Prasad and Secretary Public Works Department RK Mehra.


In its report, the committee has also been entrusted with the responsibility of determining the responsibility of the officers and employees directly and indirectly responsible for the incident. The committee will also give its recommendations to ensure that such incidents do not recur.


District level disaster control room


A district level control room has been set up in Harda to help the victims of the fire accident. The phone number of the control room is 07577-223955. Manager, Public Service Centre Harda, Shri Nitin Verma has been appointed nodal officer of the control room. Besides, police control room can also be contacted on the other number 7587619557.


PM condoles


The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives due to a mishap at a cracker factory in Harda, Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia from PMNRF of Rs. 2 lakh to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs. 50,000 for those injured.

“Distressed by the loss of lives due to the mishap at a cracker factory in Harda, Madhya Pradesh. Condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones. May those injured recover at the earliest. The local administration is assisting all those affected. Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured will be given Rs. 50,000”
