Mithun Chakraborty had suffered brain stroke, how is actor's condition now?


Mithun Chakraborty suffered chest pain on the morning of 10 February, after which he was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata. Now the hospital has issued a statement regarding the actor's health, and said that he had suffered a brain stroke. Mithun Chakraborty is still in the hospital, and is undergoing treatment. The hospital has also told in the statement and given details of the condition of Mithun Chakraborty at present.


Sources close to Mithun Chakraborty had informed that the actor was feeling uneasy and said that he was having chest pain. After this, Mithun was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata. Fans were shocked by the news of Mithun being admitted to the hospital, and started praying for his recovery. Mithun Chakraborty's daughter-in-law Madalsa Sharma denied the news of chest pain, and said that he had just gone for a routine checkup and was absolutely fine.

But now the private hospital in Kolkata, where he is undergoing treatment, has issued a statement regarding the health of Mithun Chakraborty. Doctors told that Mithun Chakraborty had suffered Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke), which is related to brain. Mithun Chakraborty is now fully conscious and doing better. He has been kept under the observation of doctors.


Hospital's statement


Apollo Hospitals said in a statement, 'National Award winning actor Mr. Mithun Chakraborty (73 years) was brought to the Emergency Department of Apollo Multispeciality Hospital, Kolkata at 9.40 am. He was feeling weakness in the upper and lower limbs on the right side. Apart from MRI of the brain, necessary laboratory and radiology tests were done. It was found out that he had suffered a stroke. Right now he is completely conscious, and is on a soft diet. The statement said that Mithun Chakraborty is also being seen by a cardiologist, a gastroenterologist and a neurophysician.


Chakraborty was recently named as a recipient of the Padma Bhushan Awardees 2024.


Fondly called Mithun Da by his fans, the actor began his career with the Mrinal Sen-directed film Mrigayaa, which fetched him the National Film Award for Best Actor.


Disco Dancer, Agneepath, Ghar Ek Mandir, Jallad and Pyaar Jhukta Nahin'are some of his other popular films.


Chakraborty joined the BJP party in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Kolkata's historic Brigade Parade Ground, commonly known as the "Maidan", on March 7, 2021.
