Lok Sabha Election 2024: After Bollywood actor Govinda, now Bollywood actresses Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor can enter politics. According to reports, both the sisters may join Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction).
This news has created a stir before the Lok Sabha elections-2024. If Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor join Shiv Sena, it could be beneficial for Shinde. The party can give Lok Sabha election tickets to both of them from Mumbai. However, no statement has come out from the actresses yet.
Earlier, Govinda had returned to politics. He joined the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday (28 March). In 2004, Govinda contested the Lok Sabha elections from North Mumbai and defeated BJP's Ram Naik. Govinda had won on Congress ticket in the BJP stronghold at that time. However, now there is talk that he may contest from North Central Mumbai Lok Sabha constituency.
After officially joining the party, Govinda recalled his political journey from 2004-2009 and said, “Whatever work I get, I will do it honestly. I was in politics from 2004 to 2009 and that was the 14th Lok Sabha. It is a wonderful coincidence that now after 14 years I have come into politics again. This is God's blessing. I thought I would never enter politics again.”
Regarding Mumbai under the leadership of Eknath Shinde, Govinda said that the city now looks cleaner and better. He also said that his parents had good relations with Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray.
