Madhya Pradesh: Regional Industry Conclaves to be organized beyond Ujjain across entire state, says CM Dr Mohan Yadav; new industrial units to create jobs for over 20,000 people


Ujjain: Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that following the Regional Industry Conclave in Ujjain, similar events will be organised in Jabalpur, Rewa, and Gwalior which will also witness the dedication and inauguration of new industrial units. He expressed optimism about the industry's potential and the significant contributions of India's 140 crore citizens to the nation's development. Dr. Yadav extended a warm welcome to investors attending the conclave.


Over 20,000 people to get employment


Dr. Yadav noted the significant presence of industrial representatives at the Regional Industry Conclave in Ujjain. The event is poised to create a historic business and industry worth Rs 1 lakh crore. Land has been allocated for approximately 250 industrial projects, promising direct employment to over 20,000 people through the establishment of new units.


CM Dr. Yadav recalled the benevolent deeds of Samrat Vikramaditya, who, upon initiating the Samvat system, not only absolved the debts of all inhabitants under his rule but also supported them in achieving self-sufficiency. 


At the outset, many investors expressed their views regarding investment possibilities in Madhya Pradesh. The investors also gave information about the work to be done.


Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap said that about 35 clusters are established in the state. Madhya Pradesh has a tradition of special industrial production in a particular region. Madhya Pradesh has policies that encourage investment. The model of 40 percent capital subsidy will become popular through the MSME department. Industrialists are being given full support for investment in Madhya Pradesh. 


Chief Secretary Veera Rana said that Madhya Pradesh has abundant resources besides an extensive forest area for industrial development. The state is leading in many agricultural products. The Conclave can help in realizing its investment potential.


Short film on industrial scenario of MP screened


Addressing the conclave, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Raghvendra Kumar Singh said that Madhya Pradesh has abundant investment potential. A short film based on the industrial scenario of Madhya Pradesh was also screened. 


Land allotment letters handed over to 283 units


CM Dr. Mohan Yadav gave away allotment letters for 508 hectares of land to 283 units in the programme. These units will provide employment to more than 20 thousand people with a total investment of more than Rs 12 thousand 170 crore. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav symbolically presented land allotment letters to the officials of some industrial units. The CM also provided letters of approval to industrialists under PM Kusum Yojana. This scheme is an important scheme of the renewable energy sector.


Dedication and Inauguration of Units


Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated and dedicated 61 units costing a total of Rs 10 thousand 64 crore with a single click. These units have been established in various districts of the state. Besides, new units are also being started. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also dedicated new units in Vikram Udyogpuri district Ujjain.



CM holds one-to-one discussion with industrialists 


CM Dr Yadav engaged in one-on-one discussions with industrialists and investors in the second session of the first day of the Regional Industry Conclave. The industry representatives explored investment opportunities and the potential for expanding industrial operations within the state with Dr. Yadav.


Subsequent to the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav flagged off the Smart City Electric Truck, Electric Staff Bus manufactured by VE Commercial and the first shipment of Best Life Style Apparel Pvt. Ltd. from Ujjain.


Dr. Yadav had a discussion on the possibilities of expansion of the cement unit in the state with Raghavpat Singhania of JK Cement, textile unit with Vipul Mathur, Managing Director of Welspun Group, and possibilities of expanding furniture unit with Andre Eckholt of Hettich India. Vinod Agarwal of VE Commercial from the automobile sector, Rajendra Agarwal of Donear Suitings active in the textile sector and Ashwin Laddha of Orient Paper Industries Limited of CK Birla Group active in the paper industry also met and spoke to the Chief Minister.


Chief Minister Dr. Yadav met MV Satish of L&T Group, Manjul Pahwa of Ralson Group active in tire manufacturing, Rajeev Gulati of MDH Group active in food and spice industry, Amiram Roth of Blueleaf working in the renewable energy sector and representatives of Asian Paints and held discussion regarding investment and expansion of industrial activities in various sectors in the state.
