PM Narendra Modi likely to offer prayers at Ram Mandir on April 17, BJP is preparing for a grand event


Ayodhya: Mention and prominence of Ram Mandir is inevitable in politics especially with Lok Sabha Elections-2024 on the horizon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to offer prayers at Ram temple on April 17 on the occasion of Ram Navami. 


According to the information, BJP will organize a big event on Ram Navami on 17th April. Ramlala as consecrated in Ram temple on 22 January. Religious events were organized across the country on the occasion.


Over 1 crore devotees have visited Ramlala


According to estimates, lakhs of devotees of Ramlala are reaching Ayodhya daily for darshan in the Ram temple. Till now more than 1 crore Ram devotees have had darshan of Ramlala. After the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, there is a boom in the tourism sector. At the same time, the construction work of the second phase of Ram temple has also started.


Devotees are donating liberally in Ram temple


After Pran Pratishtha, donations worth about Rs 25 crore including 25 kg of gold and silver jewelery have been received in a month. Ram Mandir Trust office in-charge Prakash Gupta said that the amount of Rs 25 crore includes cheques, drafts and cash deposited in the temple trust office as well as the amount deposited in donation boxes. “However, we do not have information about the money sent to the trust's bank accounts through online mode,” he said.


There may be an increase in donations on Ram Navami


The temple trust expects an increase in donations during the Ram Navami festival as around 50 lakh devotees are expected to visit Ayodhya during that time. It is expected that a large amount of cash can be received in the form of donations during Ram Navami, in view of which State Bank of India has installed four automatic counting machines at Ram Janmabhoomi.


Gupta said, “A dozen computerized counters have been set up by the trust to issue receipts and additional donation boxes are being kept in the temple premises by the Ram Mandir Trust.” 


Gupta said further, “Soon a big and well-equipped counting room will be built in the Ram temple complex.”
