Rain, hailstorm expected in many dists of Madhya Pradesh; rainfall in Bhopal late Sunday evening provides relief

Bhopal: Meteorologists have predicted hailstorms and rain across Madhya Pradesh for the next three days from April 8 to 10, accompanied by gusty winds ranging from 30 to 60 km per hour. Red, orange, and yellow alerts have been issued in anticipation of these weather conditions.

Bhopal experienced rainfall accompanied by lightning early on Sunday, while Indore has witnessed fluctuating weather patterns with intermittent clouds and sunshine.

Bhopal again received a spell of rainfall on Sunday evening accompanied by lightning that made the weather cool after a hot and sultry day.

Dr. Vedprakash Singh, a senior scientist at the Meteorological Department, stated, "The weather system is expected to intensify by April 10, resulting in continued rain and hailstorms throughout the state, including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, and Rewa."

This April marks the onset of significant weather activity attributed to a cyclonic circulation and a western disturbance, leading to anticipated storms, rainfall, hail, and lightning.

Cyclonic winds are gaining strength

Dr. Singh explained that cyclonic winds are gaining strength, alongside an active Western Disturbance in North India. The cyclonic circulation system is projected to strengthen further in the coming days, sustaining moisture flow across Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Jharkhand, with the southern regions of Madhya Pradesh likely to be affected as well.

The weather system is expected to peak on April 10, with widespread impacts of rain, hail, and storms across the state. Accordingly, orange and yellow alerts have been issued by the Meteorological Department for this day.
