Time magazine has released the list of 100 most influential people for the year 2024. Wrestler Sakshi Malik has got a place in this list.
Apart from Sakshi Malik, names of actress Alia Bhatt, World Bank President Ajay Banga and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella are also included in this list.
On being included among the 100 most influential people, Sakshi Malik posted on social media platform X, "Feeling proud to be included in Time magazine's list."
Sakshi Malik has been fighting with her fellow wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia for the last one year against Brij Bhushan Saran Singh in the sexual harassment case.
Because of the movement against Brij Bhushan Singh, Sakshi Malik has been included in the list of 100 most influential people by Time magazine.
Sakshi Malik is the only female wrestler from India to win a medal in the Olympics.
Sakshi Malik was successful in winning the bronze medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Another milestone for Alia
Actor Alia Bhatt has achieved yet another milestone in her career by making it to TIME magazine’s prestigious ‘100 Most Influential People of 2024’ list. Her director from Heart of Stone, Tom Harper, praised her as a 'formidable talent' and a 'truly international star.'

Alia won numerous significant honors last year, including the inaugural National Film Award for her role in "Gangubai Kathiawadi," which was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. 'Heart of Stone' marked her Hollywood debut in 2023 as well. Actor Dev Patel and wrestler Sakshi Malik were also listed.
