PM Narendra Modi filed his nomination from Varanasi today on Tuesday, May 14 in Pushya Nakshatra. Earlier, the PM reached the Collectorate Auditorium after taking permission from Kashi's Kotwal Baba Kalbhairav.
Narendra Modi has filed his nomination as a candidate from Varanasi for the third time. He filed nomination papers on Ganga Saptami as well as Pushya Nakshatra. Before nomination, the PM paid obeisance to Mother Ganga at Dashashwamedh Ghat and offered prayers.
All senior BJP leaders participated
BJP stalwarts gathered in Bholenath's Nagri Kashi to participate in the PM's nomination. Chief Ministers of various states and Union Ministers along with MPs and MLAs all participated in the nominations.
The PM held a meeting at the Rudraksh Convention Centre. For which there was a gathering of BJP stalwarts. PM held a meeting with party workers at the convention centre. Strict security arrangements were made at the convention center for this meeting of PM Modi. Security personnel were deployed around the centre.
CMs of 12 states participated
When PM Narendra Modi was filing nomination from Varanasi, Chief Ministers and senior leaders of 12 NDA states were present. PM Narendra Modi is contesting from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat for the third consecutive time since 2014. Let us tell you that at the time of nomination, UP CM Yogi Adityanath was also seen sitting behind PM Modi.
Dugdha Abhishek of Maa Ganga performed
PM Modi worshiped Maa Ganga with full devotion and performed Dugdha Abhishek under the guidance of Vedic Brahmins at the special jetty built at Ganga Saptami Ghat in Kashi. Along with worship, blessings of victory were also sought. During this time, thousands of people gathered at the ghat and kept chanting Har Har Mahadev.
Modi contesting from Varanasi for the third time
After worshiping Ganga, Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned to Kotwal Baba Kaal Bhairav of Kashi. After Ganga Puja, he left for Baba Bhairav's darshan and worship. Where on reaching Kalbhairav temple, he performed special worship and aarti and prayed for victory.
After this, PM reached Hotel Taj via Chowkaghat of Ganga. Where he held a meeting with prominent leaders of NDA and BJP. After this he reached Vanaras district headquarters to file nomination.
Prime Minister went on Swami Vivekananda cruise from Dashashwamedh Ghat to Adikeshav Ghat while visiting Ganga, then landed at Namo Ghat.
