The political landscape of Madhya Pradesh is currently abuzz with the honey trap scandal involving a former councilor from Chanderi Municipality in Ashoknagar district. An explicit video featuring the ex-councilor, who also served as the District Secretary of the BJP Backward Class Morcha, has surfaced on social media, sparking widespread discussion in the district's political circles. In response, the BJP has swiftly expelled the councilor from the party.
The BJP leader had filed a blackmail complaint against a woman and a man at the Chanderi police station. According to the complaint, the woman demanded Rs 8 lakh in exchange for not releasing the video. The leader provided the police with the woman's mobile number, leading to the registration of the case and the commencement of an investigation.
Party Takes Action After Video Goes Viral
Following the registration of the case, the intimate video of the BJP leader quickly went viral. Consequently, the party took decisive action, expelling former councilor Chhotu Sihare.
A statement from the party reads: "An obscene and immoral video is being circulated through various media, this act falls in the category of social adultery. BJP believes in high moral values and ideals. This misdeed will tarnish the image of the party. Who was being tarnished, is expelled from all responsibilities and primary membership of the party.
