Kejriwal tells what he will do before returning to Tihar Jail today

After the expiry of the interim bail granted by the Supreme Court, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, arrested in the alleged liquor policy scam, will return to Tihar Jail again on Sunday.

Arvind Kejriwal had filed a petition to extend the bail period but he could not get relief from the court.

Arvind Kejriwal has issued a statement saying that before going back to Tihar Jail, he will pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's Samadhi in Delhi, after which he will go to Hanuman Temple at Connaught Place and then address the workers at the party office.

Arvind Kejriwal has said in a post on Instagram, "Today I will surrender by going to Tihar. I will leave home at 3 pm. First I will go to Rajghat and pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. From there I will go to Hanuman Temple at Connaught Place to seek blessings of Hanuman ji. And from there I will go to the party office and meet all the workers and party leaders. From there I will leave for Tihar again."

Kejriwal said, "All of you take care of yourself. I will take care of you all in jail. If you are happy, your Kejriwal will also be happy in jail.”

The Supreme Court had granted interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal till June 1 to campaign for the party in the Lok Sabha elections.

During the election campaign in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal had said, “If people press the button on the broom, I will not have to go back to Tihar Jail.”

In the exit polls that came after the voting on all the seats on Saturday, the ruling BJP alliance is seen getting a huge majority.

However, the leaders of India Alliance, including Arvind Kejriwal, have claimed that India Alliance is winning 295 seats.
