Narendra Modi pays homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat before swearing-in; this is how Rashtrapati Bhavan is geared up for ceremony


Narendra Modi reached Rajghat before swearing-in ceremony, paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi


Before taking oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time, Narendra Modi reached Rajghat on Sunday morning to pay floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's samadhi.

Narendra Modi will take oath along with his cabinet at 7.15 pm today in the courtyard of the President.


After Rajghat, Narendra Modi reached the samadhi of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sadaiv Atal, where he paid floral tribute.



Modi pays homage to martyrs


Modi visited the National War Memorial at India Gate at 7:30 am and pay tribute to the martyrs. On this occasion, top officials of the three armies were also be present at the National War Memorial. 


President Droupadi Murmu will administer the Oath of Office and Secrecy to the Prime Minister and other members of the Union Council of Ministers on June 9 at 07:15 pm at Rashtrapati Bhavan.


Surekha Yadav invited to the swearing-in ceremony


Surekha Yadav, pilot of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Solapur Vande Bharat train in Maharashtra, is among the 10 loco pilots of Indian Railways who have been invited to the swearing-in ceremony.



Rashtrapati Bhavan geared up


Officials said that all necessary arrangements have been made for the guests attending the ceremony, including the designated venues for the members of the Council of Ministers and VVIPs who will be sworn in. Rashtrapati Bhavan also shared a video of preparations for this grand ceremony. In this, workers were busy setting up chairs, laying red carpets and finalizing the decoration of the premises. 


According to the Prime Minister's Office, leaders of seven countries have accepted the invitation to attend the ceremony. Officials said that after the swearing-in ceremony, selected dishes and special dishes from the kitchen of Rashtrapati Bhavan will be served to the guests at the banquet hosted by President Droupadi Murmu.
