Supreme Court to Await High Court Decision on Arvind Kejriwal's Bail Petition, Check Latest Development


The Supreme Court on Monday heard CM Arvind Kejriwal's petition against the Delhi High Court's decision to stay his bail.


The Supreme Court said that the High Court's decision is going to come on Tuesday and we will first wait for the High Court's decision.


Arvind Kejriwal's lawyer Rishikesh Kumar has told media that the Supreme Court will now hear the case on Wednesday.


On Friday evening, the Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal, against which the ED filed a petition in the Delhi High Court.


The Delhi High Court has reserved its decision for 2-3 days after a long hearing on the bail granted to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.


The court had earlier stayed the bail granted to Arvind Kejriwal by the Rouse Avenue Court.


Arvind Kejriwal had approached the Supreme Court against the High Court's decision to stay his bail.


Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in March in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam.


The Supreme Court had granted Kejriwal interim bail to campaign during the general elections. The bail period expired on June 2 and Kejriwal had to go back to Tihar Jail.
