Leaders of different political parties have reacted strongly to the murder of India bloc ally Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani's father in Bihar.
Jitan Sahani, father of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani, was found murdered at his ancestral home in Bihar's Darbhanga district, police said on Tuesday.
Jitan Sahani's body, with several stab injuries and cut marks on his chest and stomach, was found inside his room at his house in Biraul area this morning.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav
said that no political leader is safe in Bihar. The system has completely
collapsed.
Yadav said, "What is happening in Bihar. There is not a
single day when there is no news of murder. The administration has become
completely paralyzed. There is a mindless government in Bihar. The authorities are
doing nothing. Till now, no one would even know that any incident has happened
in Bihar. The system has collapsed in Bihar. The state is at the mercy of
God."
RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari said, "When the family of a
politician is not safe in Bihar, then the common people are at the mercy of
God."
At the same time, Pappu Yadav, an independent MP from
Purnia, said, "Murders, incidents and exploitation of girls are happening
continuously in Bihar. The whole of Bihar is in the clutches of criminals.
Bihar is being run by the nexus of criminals and politicians. What happened to
Nitish Babu's good governance? Is this good governance?''
Kharge demands justice
Condemning the brutal murder of Mukesh Sahani's father, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge demanded strict action against the culprits at the earliest and justice for his INDIA bloc partner.
In a post in Hindi on X, Kharge said, "The brutal murder of Shri Jitan Sahani, father of Shri Mukesh Sahani, founder of Vikassheel Insaan Party in Bihar and former state minister, is extremely sad and condemnable."
"We express our deepest condolences to his family. May God give them the strength to bear this loss," Kharge said.
"We demand that strict action be taken against the culprits at the earliest and that our INDIA bloc partner, Sahani ji, should get justice," the Congress chief said.
SIT has been formed to investigate: Bihar minister
Bihar government minister Nitin Naveen said that an SIT has
been formed to investigate the murder.
He said, ''The reason for the murder could be personal
enmity. There could be some other reasons as well. The truth will come out
through investigation. Now some people are talking of jungle raj. Jungle raj
was when criminals used to hide in Tejashwi Yadav's house and carry out their
activities from there.''
At the same time, Union Minister and BJP MP Giriraj Singh
said, ''The case of the murder of Mukesh Sahani's father is not a political
issue. I express grief over the murder of Mukesh Sahani's father and the
criminal will not be able to escape. The state government is serious about this
matter.''
Another BJP leader Ajay Alok said, "Whoever is
murdered, it is a heinous crime... It will be exposed within 72 hours... In a
civilized society, you cannot stop crime no matter how capable you are."
VIP chief expresses hope accused will be held
VIP chief Mukesh Sahani has reacted to the murder of his
father.
While talking to the media, he said, "Hopefully,
whoever has carried out this murder will soon be in police custody."
He said, "I got information about my father's murder on
the phone. After the incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah called me and
inquired about the case. Apart from the top police officials, I have received
calls from many politicians regarding the murder."
"The police is investigating the case at every level. I
hope that whoever has carried out this murder will soon be arrested by the
police."
Mukesh Sahani's father Jitan Sahani was murdered in his
house in Biraul Bazaar of Darbhanga on Monday night.
In the murder case of Mukesh Sahani's father, an SIT has
been formed under the leadership of Darbhanga Rural SP Kamya Mishra.
Biraul SDOP Manish Chandra Chaudhary said that initial investigation suggests that the killers had entered the house with the intention of theft. Household items were scattered in the house.
