On Saturday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and his cabinet members arrived at the sacred Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, to offer their respects to Shri Ram Lalla. The temple complex resonated with the joyous chants of "Chhattisgarh Ke Bhaancha Ram" and "Jai Shri Ram, Jai Shri Ram," reflecting the deep devotion of the visiting devotees.
In an atmosphere filled with Ram Bhakti, the temple complex became a place of heartfelt expressions from devotees who had journeyed from their maternal homeland. Just as Mata Shabari’s long-held desire to have darshan of Lord Shri Ram was fulfilled in Shivrinarayan, every devotee from her homeland shares a similar aspiration.
CM Sai and his cabinet members’ wish to have a darshan of Ram Lalla was also fulfilled on this auspicious day. Upon reaching Ayodhya Dham, they offered gifts at the feet of Shri Ram Lalla, including berries and holy water from Shivrinarayan, rice for Vishnu Bhog, pineapple, curry laddu, and silk garments—all symbolizing the love and devotion from Chhattisgarh.
In his prayers, Chief Minister Sai sought the blessings of Lord Shri Ram for the happiness and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh. He expressed his deep reverence, stating, "We came to Ayodhya Dham today with the entire cabinet to have the darshan of Shri Ramlala. Lord Shri Ram is our nephew (bhanja) of Chhattisgarh. We were very eager to have darshan of nephew Ram. With the blessings of Lord Shri Ram, that auspicious moment has arrived when we got the privilege of having darshan of Ramlala in Ayodhya Dham."
Reflecting on the visit, Vishnu Deo Sai mentioned the thoughtful consideration behind the gifts they brought. "When we decided to go to Ayodhya Dham, we thought about what gift we should take for our nephew from our maternal side. Then the thought came that what could be a better gift for Lord Shri Ram than taking berries (ber) from the holy land of Shivrinarayan, where Mata Shabri herself had offered berries to Lord Shri Ram with her own hands. The memory of those berries is etched in the public memory. We are fortunate to offer this gift to Lord Shri Ram from Mata Shabri’s land."
Highlighting Chhattisgarh's rich tribal heritage, the Chief Minister noted, "Chhattisgarh is a tribal state where Mata Shabri and many tribal dignitaries welcomed Lord Shri Ram. Our land is blessed. It is a wonderful coincidence that Chhattisgarh is also the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram and is part of his Van Gaman Path. Scholars of Ram Katha tell us that Shri Ram spent ten years of his fourteen years of exile here." (Ram Van Gaman Path is the path that Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana took during their 'vanvaas' or exile years. It starts from Ayodhya and ends at Sri Lanka. This path is much revered in the Hindu religion as various key incidents of Lord Rama's life have taken place on this path.)
CM Vishnu Deo Sai elaborated on the Ramayana's depiction of Shri Ram's profound affection for the tribal people and the immense love they reciprocated. Sai expressed his pride in representing the people of Chhattisgarh and their deep devotion to Lord Shri Ram.
Overwhelmed by the darshan of Ramlala, the Chief Minister said, "Shri Ram has given us the ideal of Ramrajya. We are moving forward with this ideal in Chhattisgarh. By visiting Shri Ramlala, we have prayed to the Lord for the happiness and prosperity of our state."
Sai also mentioned the Ayodhya Dham Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, through which many devotees from Chhattisgarh have benefited by visiting Shri Ramlala. He shared his joy upon hearing their praises for the grand temple and its beautiful idol, adding, "Today, we also had the privilege of visiting Ramlala."
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Finance Minister OP Choudhary, Labor Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan, Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade, and Sports Minister Tank Ram Verma accompanied Chief Minister Sai on this reverent visit.
