(In Pics) Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's Sangeet Ceremony: Emotional Moments and Star-Studded Attendance at Couple’s Wedding Festivities

Mumbai: The sangeet ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant turned into a glittering event with the attendance of several T20 World Cup-winning cricketers and other notable celebrities. Rohit Sharma, Surya Kumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya, who are also celebrated players of the Mumbai Indians, graced the event with their families. Their presence garnered a standing ovation from the audience, which comprised family, friends, and guests.

A visibly emotional Nita Ambani, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, spoke about the personal significance of the T20 World Cup win, emphasizing her connection to these cricket legends through the Mumbai Indians team. She reminisced about the exhilarating final over of the T20 World Cup.

Nita described how the nation watched in suspense as the Indian team secured an improbable victory. Nita praised Hardik Pandya for his performance under pressure, stating, "Tough times don't last long, but tough people do." Mukesh Ambani echoed similar sentiments, congratulating the cricketers and recalling the spirited victory reminiscent of India's 2011 World Cup win.

Other notable cricket personalities such as Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Krunal Pandya, KL Rahul, and the legendary former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also attended the event. However, Jasprit Bumrah was unable to be present.

Adding to the evening's glamour, pop sensation Justin Bieber performed, while Bollywood icons Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit Nene were among the many celebrities who attended the ceremony at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai on Friday.

As part of the wedding festivities, Mukesh and Nita Ambani organized a mass wedding for the underprivileged at Swami Vivekananda Vidyamandir in Palghar on July 2. Following this, a grand Mameru ceremony, a Gujarati wedding tradition where the bride's maternal uncle brings sweets and gifts, was held on July 3.
