A cloudburst struck the area between Dhundi and Palchan in Himachal Pradesh's Manali town on Wednesday night, causing big disruption. A portion of the Leh-Manali national highway was washed away, halting traffic between Rohtang Pass and Lahaul and Spiti. As a result, hundreds of people, including tourists, found themselves stranded dueto the highway closure.
The cloudburst also led to severe flooding of the Anjani Mahadev Nala, resulting in the destruction of two houses. Fortunately, there have been no reports of human casualties. Additionally, a nearby hydropower project sustained damage from the floodwaters.
In response to the situation, Raman Kumar Sharma, the Subdivisional Magistrate of Manali, along with other officials, promptly arrived at the scene. They advised residents living near Anjani Mahadev Nala to remain vigilant due to the ongoing threat.
Flood like situation in many Gujarat dists
Heavy rains are going on in Gujarat for the last 3-4 days. Due to this, flood like situation has arisen in many districts including Vadodara, Surat, Bharuch and Anand. Vadodara alone received 24 cm of rain in 24 hours. A total of 8 people have died in rain-related incidents in the state.
826 people had to be shifted to safer places from low-lying areas of these districts. Schools- colleges have also been closed. NDRF and SDRF teams have also been deployed. Train services have also been disrupted.
Narmada level increases in MP

Flights cancelled in Mumbai
Due to waterlogging in Mumbai, local trains are running late by 20 to 25 minutes. Multiple flights have been delayed and cancelled due to heavy rain in Mumbai. And some Air India flights departing from Mumbai have also been cancelled.
The airlines said services were affected due to poor visibility. Passengers will be refunded. The Meteorological Department has said that Mumbai received more than 100mm of rain from late night to morning is.
Several areas have been flooded and two out of the seven lakes that supply water to the city are overflowing. Areas such as Sion, Chembur and Andheri have been severely affected. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has said Modak-Sagar lake and Vihar lake, Two of the seven lakes supplying water to the city, are overflowing. The weather office has issued a red alert for Mumbai till 8.30 am tomorrow Friday, predicting extremely heavy rainfall at some places.
Rain alert issued in 7 dists of Rajasthan
Rain alert has been issued in 7 districts of Rajasthan today. Heavy rain alert has been issued in Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa, Alwar, Karauli and Dholpur of the state. In the rest of the districts except Churu, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer and Barmer, heavy rain alert has been issued. There will be light rain. Churu-Alwar received 5 to 13 cm of rain.
